Welcome to my newest photography workshop!
I’m really excited to add The Cotswold Wildlife Park Photography Course to my collection of courses in the UK. It’s such a great place to hold a photography workshop. The open enclosures enable us to get unbelievably close to all the animals which provides the potential for amazing photos. I am not pretending to be a wildlife photographer (I’m not even close to being patient enough), the park just provides the best possible playground to practice your new camera skills. You’ll probably be practicing your ISO taking photos of Ian (yes Ian!) the baby white Rhino! You can’t get better than that!
NOTE: At no point will there be a boring Powerpoint presentation, all the tutorials and techniques are carried out in the field.

'We were lucky to have John capture our wedding a few years ago and the images captured my imagination and made me finally go out and buy a camera… I had a play around but got nowhere, so booked a couple of private lessons with John on the basics and also joined a landscape group lesson in Oxford. Best money I ever spent – turned my expensive camera into an investment that I could use and enjoy and now I am hooked. I would recommend John to anyone who wants to learn to love photography… John’s style is relaxed, he is very knowledgeable and is a pleasure to be around, as he is centred upon making sure you enjoy taking great pictures'.
'John's informal style and intuitive understanding of what you need makes the one-to-one photography workshop both fun and informative. If you are thinking of doing a course, let me vouch for John as a natural teacher with insane levels of knowledge. I can't rate him highly enough'.
“I was looking for some photography classes in the Oxford area, I was particularly interested in learning more about the technical side of photography. I came across John’s website whilst searching on Google. I was immediately impressed with his work and loved his style of imagery. I booked a 1:1 session with John, and I am so pleased I did. The knowledge he shared with me has been so beneficial to my work and to the growth on my photography business. There wasn’t anything John didn’t know, or couldn’t help me with. I learnt so much in the short time I spent with him. We spoke about the theoretical side of things and then followed that through with practical exercises, this really helped me to learn and remember what he had taught me. Since my initial 1:1 I have had another session with John, and again he was great at understanding some of the issues I was experiencing and helped me to learn how to correct these. I would recommend anyone who is interested in Photography to have a workshop with him, he really has helped me develop and learn a lot as a newly set up photographer. John has great knowledge across the fields of photography and whether you are interested in either the creative side of things, or the technical, he will be sure to help you develop in either area.”
